DC METRO AREA FAMILY ECONOMIC SECURITY PROGRAMS & ADVOCACY DIRECTOR
Delese Harvey is the Director of the DC Metro Area Family Economic Security Programs & Advocacy and is responsible for the implementation of the DC Family Economic Security (DC FES) project in policy, programs and direct services. Delese also coordinates WOW activities that are designed to promote the economic security of residents in the DC metro area through a combination of direct service programs and advocacy. Those programs include the DC Metro Area Self Sufficiency Calculator (DC MASSC), DC Basic Economic Security Tables (DC BEST) and Connections to Careers for Adults and Teens. WOW FES programs play a critical role by advocating and facilitating for improvements in DC’s workforce development systems. In addition to its general and “rapid response” advocacy, Delese manages the DC Women’s Agenda, which focuses on the needs of low-income women and jobseekers in the District and is also a member of a number of active coalitions around the city working on behalf of the city’s residents.
