Unibet’s second sportsbook in the United States will be located at the Mohegan Sun Pocono in Pennsylvania. This is the result of a deal negotiated between Mohegan Sun Pocono and Unibet’s owners the Kindered Group in early 2019. Kindered Group is listed on Nasdaq Nordic.
“We are excited and proud to partner with Mohegan Sun Pocono to welcome patrons to our new sportsbook, and offer a great extension to our online product in one of the largest states to regulate both online sports betting and casino,” says Manuel Stan, SVP at Kindered US. “We wanted a strong partner who shares our dedication to customer experience and values, and we know that together we will offer Pennsylvanians a truly unmatched in-house and soon-to-come online sports betting and casino experience.”
Initially, Unibet’s Pennsylvanian sportsbook will be available to brick-and-mortar punters only, but a gambling site is set to be launched before the year is over. The site will include not just sports betting but casino games as well.
With the Unibet sportsbook in Pennsylvania, punters will be able to wager on series and leagues of great interest to the United States public, such as NBA, NFL, NHL, PGA, NCAA, UFC, NASCAR, and more, but also on European things such as Premier League, Bundesliga, and La Liga.
“We’ve aligned with one of the world’s best online casino and sportsbook operators in regulated online markets, which will allow us to offer a best in class experience to our current clients and attract new fans. Introduction of the Unibet offering to the market is a great positive for Mohegan Sun, as well as the state of Pennsylvania,” says Aviram Alroy, vice president of interactive gaming at Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment.
Unibet’s first sportsbook in the country was the one launched at within Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City in early September this year.
