Economic Security for Survivors (ESS) Project Policy Page
Attaining economic security for survivors of intimate violence is a critical step to ensuring safety and self-sufficiency for victims and their families. There are several policy areas that, in particular, can have a significant impact on a survivor’s pursuit of economic security and the victim service programs that provide crucial support for this purpose.
The Economic Security for Survivors Project at Wider Opportunities for Women will track and analyze policy areas related to intimate violence and economic justice with the goal of informing and educating the public, service providers, state and federal legislators and criminal justice advocates.
