Washington Area Women in the Trades (WAWIT)

WOW and the YWCA of the National Capital Area and the Community Services Agency of the Metropolitan Council AFL-CIO have revived a nontraditional employment training program – Washington Area Women in the Trades (WAWIT) – that is preparing DC women for high-paying construction trade careers through a 12-week classroom and experiential-based curriculum.
