DC Metro Area Programs

The local programs and policy efforts of Wider Opportunities for Women are centered in the Washington, DC MetroArea. Like our national work, the centerpiece of our activities is the DC Family Economic Security Project (DC FES). Identifying strategies, advocating for policies and creating pathways to assist low-income women and their families achieve economic security are the common threads in our local program, which encompasses the following core initiatives:
